What is OFSTED and Why Do They Visit Schools?

At Rivendell Flying High, we are committed to providing the highest quality education for all our pupils. As part of this commitment, our school is regularly inspected by OFSTED (the Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills). OFSTED is an independent body that inspects schools across England to ensure they meet National standards in teaching, learning, leadership, and pupil welfare.

During an inspection, OFSTED evaluates various aspects of school life, including the quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development, and leadership. Their findings help parents, carers, and the wider community understand how well a school is performing and where improvements can be made.

As a new school, we are looking forward to our first OFSTED inspection, which will provide us with valuable feedback on our journey so far. This will be an important milestone, helping us to celebrate our successes, showcase the enthusiasm of our pupils, the dedication of our staff and the positive, warm and caring learning environment we have built - Our Rivendell Family!
